Rich color and rhythmic texture give this pair of ceramic planters a distinctive sculptural character. The Kanza Planters are a coordinated set of two rounded forms featuring pronounced vertical fluting, softly stepped bases, and a deep green glazed finish that highlights every curve. The larger planter measures 8L x 8W x 4H, while the smaller measures 5L x 5W x 3H, creating a natural variation in scale while maintaining the same overall design language. Crafted from ceramic, each planter has a broad circular opening surrounded by a subtly scalloped rim created by the repeating fluted construction. Rounded vertical channels extend from the upper edge through the body, producing alternating raised and recessed sections that give the surfaces depth and a strong sense of rhythm. Near the bottom, the silhouettes step inward to form smaller rounded bases, visually grounding the pieces while adding another layer of dimensional detail. A variegated green glaze moves across the exterior in shades of olive, moss, forest, and muted sage, with darker tones settling into the recesses and around the lower portions. The glossy finish catches light along the raised ribs, emphasizing the contours and revealing subtle changes in color from different angles. The interiors continue the deep green coloration for a cohesive appearance when viewed from above. Although designed as planters, the Kanza Planters also have enough sculptural presence to contribute color and texture when displayed as decorative ceramic objects. Their earthy green palette works naturally with pale and warm woods, stone, woven materials, cream ceramics, bronze finishes, and other nature-inspired elements. Used together or separated within a layered arrangement, the two complementary sizes bring organic color, repeating geometry, and dimensional ceramic texture to decor.
